Hi guys:
Demographic: Male, Peruvian, 29 years old (30 this year)
High School: 1st place. Won many maths competitions.
Undergraduate Education: System Engineer at Best Enginnering School in Peru. GPA 2.5 (many courses were hard). Top 15th place in entrance exam.
Weak point: Left university 2 years (I was not sure about my career), but when returned school I did it well, and pass very hard professors where very few students did it.
Work Experience: Hybrid profile (project management, product development, retail banking)
- 3 years in peruvian subsidiary of one of the biggest banks in US/World. In Retail Banking, doing process improvement, functional analysis, and testing of new functionalities.
Promoted once, and qualified as outstanding.
- 2 years in top 4 peruvian bank, and subsidiary of one of the biggest bank in Canada. In retail banking too, doing project management and implementig new functionalities in the payments business. I won an schoolarship in a postgraduate course (Diploma in Project Management). Promoted once, and qualified as Very Good.
Postgraduate Education: Diploma in Project Management in Top Institute in Project Management in Peru. GPA 4 (that was easy).
Extracurricular activities:
- amateur swimmer (3 times every week)
- few social work some hours a year (3 or 4 days every year)
Why and MBA?: I am doing very well at work, having 5 years of experiencie I think is time to take the next step and boost my career. I want a very good education and gain the netwoork that only a Top MBA could give, also want to have better job opportunities.
Post MBA?: Continue doing Project Management, in Retail Baking or Payments Business, or maybe chage to a technology company. (Love projects, Love innovation, and love the impact in people)
Planning on score ~720 GMAT
Target Schools: LBS (I love UK), Booth, IE, Wharton, Ross
What do you think about my profile? any recommendations? I think my undergraduate GPA is my weakness point. But after that, I did it very well at university and at work. And I feel confident doing very well at a top business school.
Thanks a lot.
