This is my first time posting on here, so forgive me if there is some etiquette that I don't follow in the following description of myself, or if I am missing information.
I'm looking for information about what B-Schools I should really target and how likely it is for me to get into the ones I have listed.
To begin with, I am a US citizen of Indian ethnicity.
So I graduated from a state school in California, and have about 3 years of experience as a financial analyst, but worked for two companies in that time period--I'm concerned that they will find this to be a red flag. One was a cloud networking company and another is a semi-conductor company. I was part of a professional business fraternity and took on leadership roles there, and also was part of the student government throughout my college career. I've always exhibited characteristics of leadership in all spheres of my life and continue to do so.
My second GMAT score is 730, but my first score was a 580. My GPA is 3.2. I transferred from one state college to another, and so have two main transcripts, but I also took one or two courses in various community colleges (which I now find was a bad decision because I have to order transcripts from every single college). I also graduated with about 50 more units than was necessary to graduate. My undergraduate concentration was in Corporate Finance with a minor in Psychology. I plan to go into consulting/technology after my MBA.
I'm going to have recommendations from my ex-director and ex-manager.
I volunteer with various organizations, such as American Red Cross, The Boys and Girls Club, Tax Aid, India Literacy Project. I find giving back to be very fulfilling and important in many ways.
So the colleges I am looking at are
HBS, Stanford, Kellogg, Fuqua, Anderson, Haas, Ross, Booth, Marshall, Stern, Booth, McCombs.
I think I would like and excel in the case-study environment. I have an outgoing personality and an analytical brain.
