Appreciate in advance for a quick evaluation of my profile.
Today I got a bit lost
, since I messed up my IELTS test, overall 7, listening 8.5, reading 7, writing 5.5, speaking 6. Quite upset about reading, writing , speaking. 2 year ago(expired), got a 7.5 with listening 8, reading 8.5, writing 6, speaking 7.
Work exp: 6 years in 500 fortune. Function from Sales to Sales Training to HR Training and instructional design; not in a managerial role, but had leadership exp in various projects to set up processes and standards and suggest system creation, worked in project in USA
GMAT: 740, Q50 V41, AWA 4, IR 8. IELTS: overall 7, listening 8.5, reading 7, writing 5.5, speaking 6
Eduction, Bachelor of Education, avg 81, majored in Education in an popular uni in Beijing, not China top 4; Worked as part-time designer in media since the 1st year of college to share the finance burden of the family. After graduation, switched to tech.
Background: LGBT from remote town in China.
Want to apply schools in west cost of US and stay in tech and switch to strategy function then later create my own startup.
So now I am planning to go with this new IELTS score, and apply some safe schools in R2, and retake IELTS in Jan, then apply some better schools in R3.
Which schools will I have better chance with this IELTS score? what school to apply if I improve IELTS in Jan?

Definitely give the IELTS test another shot, I'm sure you can do better and hopefully just had a bad day
I think otherwise your academic stats (GPA / GMAT) are very strong. Your work experience seems strong too, I like the long tenure with one large company, leadership experience, exposure to US projects, and the fact that you work in training / design tells me you probably have strong communication and presentation skills. Your personal background may make for some interesting essay material too.
On the West coast and with your interest in Tech, you'll definitely want to look at Haas - it's very competitive there but I checked and they say you need a minimum of 7 on IELTS so could be worth a shot still. You should also try for UCLA Anderson, and USC Marshall or UW Foster would be good safer options, with strong connections to Tech companies.
