I am planning to apply Round 1 this year for the fall 2017 session. It would be of great help if you could please evaluate my profile.
Thanks for reaching out! My comments are in blue
Nationality/Gender/Age - Indian/F/23
GMAT- 620 (45Q, 31V, 4.5AWA)
Academic qualification - B.E(Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering), Pune University.
GPA - 3.75While all of this is a great start... it is still early in your age and also with that GMAT of 620 you are a little behind on being at a super competitive range for your profile.

P.S. I know my GMAT score is too low, so if I need to improve on that part, how much do I need to improve, given that I have to apply soon. I truly think you are rushing it to be ready for R1- that being said, I think that the schools you have chosen may be open to considering you- If you really want to approach this as a numbers game here are GMATs for all the top programs:https://poetsandquants.com/2015/03/24/gmat-scores-up-at-10-of-top-25-schools/3/
But the admissions process is more than GMAT- and if a GMAT is lower than average, something else has to be higher to compensate usually. Honestly, I don't see it in the work or extracurricular leadership and consulting is a field where GMAT score matters.... so I see some areas for improvement. On top of this, R1 is just weeks away in some cases and you want to take some time to put your best efforts forward. However, at Florida perhaps you have a chance now- you are still under post class profile on many categories at Texas A&M. I would suggest working on your leadership for another year and also retaking GMAT. We offer a few hours of counseling on a package called profile development where we strategize for ways to improve any weaknesses so that you will present your best package when you apply. If you want to learn more about that- here is a link for a free consult:https://stratusprep.com/free-consult/
I don't want to be discouraging in that I am sure you have great value to offer and I think if you can continue to gain work experience and leadership you have great potential at these and many other business programs. But I assume since you are asking for a review you also want to hear my honest thoughts from my adcom background and there are definitely some areas that you can improve and I don't think business school is something you want to rush into without preparing to the fullest. So I do wish you all the best and if we can help you develop your profile, we'd be honored to do so!
Hey! I gave my gmat again n I scored 660 this time (Q:49, V:32). Do I have a good chance if I work on the other aspects of my application and apply with this score? N I agree my work experience is on the lower side, but I really need to apply this year. Also please suggest a few universities which you think might be the right choice for me.
Thanks.
