Hi
ItalianGuyAre you dead-set on the US? There were some changes in UK law yesterday allowing international students 2 years of post MBA work authorization starting next year. The thing is, in the US there is a preference for younger candidates with higher GMAT scores. I am not sure about your target schools but you can likely get a better score. Keep in mind that for MBB you need a 700 for a top 20 school 720 for a top 10 school.
But to be very honest, here in the US strategy consulting is a very ageist situation; they don't lean towards hiring older applicants because it is awkward to pay a 27 year old the same as a 33 year old. they realize that the 33 year old guy is less likely to be willing to work insane hours and might be closer to wanting a family and some balance.
The situation is different in the UK and Europe. You might honestly think more about going to INSEAD or LBS. Are you sure you cannot achieve this transition without an MBA? Would be important to articulate why you need an MBA to achieve your goal.

Hi all!
This is the first time that I write in this forum; I hope that I have found the right section for my post. I would like to apply to an MBA in the U.S. in a year from now (2021 intake / class of 2023). Could you please evaluate my profile and suggest business schools that I should target? Please find below some information about me.

• Short-term goal: shift from management consulting to strategy consulting
• Long-term goal: move to industry in a strategy or management role
Thank you!
