338 / 340 - 168/170 in Verbal, and 170/170 in Quant
GMAT Predicted (750-760)
Does it look bad that I wrote my GMAT 3 times - 610, 650 (score cancelled), and then 700? This will be my fourth try. I am very confident that I will score 740+.
· Work experience (highlight amount of work experience, industries, roles, promotions, special accomplishments, international exposure):
Entrepreneur 10+ years experience. Multiple businesses.
· Extracurricular activities (highlight notable undergraduate and post-undergraduate ones):
Co-founder of an orphanage which houses 40 minor girls saved from either child-labour or bonded slavery. Personally donated and helped collect donations to construct a three-storey building which serves as their house, and school.
· Any specific questions you would like answered by our team:
What top schools should I apply to, given that my Undergraduate GPA is so low? I plan on applying to Cornell as a number of people have told me that Cornell does overlook low GPA.

Hi, and thanks for writing! In order to suggest potential programs to target, I'd really need to know what your post-MBA goals are.
Your GRE score is very strong, but I do think a GMAT in the range you are predicting will help offset your GPA even more. It won't be an issue that you've taken the GMAT a few times already, but I wouldn't go for more than 2 more attempts at this point. In any case, you'll want to address what drove your low GPA in your optional essay.
Aside from academics, your prospects at MBA programs will depend on the quality of your work experience in terms of progression and impact - I see that you have 10 years of entrepreneurial experience, but I'd need to know more about what you've achieved in those 10 years. Your involvement with the orphanage sounds very impressive - definitely highlight the impact you've made in your resume and elsewhere in your application as appropriate.

My only concern is that the GPA really was incredibly low and may even fall outside the 100% range in some of the better schools.
But your major was quantitative, you have a fantastic GRE and potential GMAT scores (make sure you submit both), and you are further into your career than many applicants. Also your undergraduate institution is prestigious.
It’ll really be down to your career. You said you’ve been an entrepreneur, what have you achieved over the years? If you can show that you’re on your way go something amazing, and can explain your GPA add show that 1. It didn’t limit your success and 2. You did all you can to make up for that GPA, I think you have a decent chance at stat-crazy top schools (Kellogg, Wharton). Harvard and Stanford do take some outliers in terms of GPA, so if your business venture is truly unique and impactful I don’t see why you shouldn’t try your luck at those two.
