Hi,
After multiple attempts at the GMAT and the GRE, I have the following best scores:
a) GMAT: 680 V-34, Q-49, AWA-5, IR-8
b) GMAT: 680 V-40, Q-43, AWA-5, IR-4
c) GRE: 323 (=680 GMAT per ETS conversion tool) V-159, Q-164, AWA-4
I have a 3.7 GPA (A's in all calculus classes) in engineering from a top 3 US engineering school. I am an Indian male applicant based out of the US.
Which score(s) would you suggest that I submit to the schools in general? Are there some schools that are more accomodating of the GRE score? How about schools that claim to consider highest sectional scores across multiple settings (such as Tuck)?
My schools are Columbia, Kellogg, Booth, Tuck, Duke, Ross, UVA, NYU, Cornell, CMU.
Thanks!

To answer your question directly, the a) score is slightly better than the other 2 scores because it shows a higher quant percentile. For Tuck, obviously submit all scores.
That said, I would strongly encourage you to re-take the GMAT or the GRE and score at least a 720 on the GMAT or the equivalent on the GRE. Your pool is extremely competitive; most Indian male candidates who get accepted into a top 20 program score at least 740 on the GMAT. Not to mention your 680 score is way below the average score for all the schools you're applying to. Unless you have something really unique or a really valid explanation for the low score, I'm afraid you're not going to get desirable results.
Yes, you have a very good GPA. In business school admissions, however, the GMAT is weighted more heavily. You obviously have appropriate intellectual capabilities as indicated by your academic records from a top 3 engineering school. I would corroborate this evidence with an adequate GMAT score.
If you're applying this year, I would suggest that you spend the next 2-3 months studying for the GMAT and then apply in the second round. This forum is a great resource for GMAT study tips. Spend a couple of hours browsing and you'll see.
