Hi nehad1992,

While the most realistic practice questions are from Official Sources (the Official Guides, Official GMAC CATs, etc.), there are plenty of 3rd-party sources for practice questions that can help you to train for the GMAT. To properly measure how well your studies are helping you to train for the GMAT, you should take FULL-LENGTH practice CATs under realistic conditions and at regular intervals. Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs/mocks (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi nehad1992,

What is your GMAT score goal? Have you taken a practice exam to get a baseline score? Do you need any advice regarding your study plan?

I subscribed to magoosh and have been solving the magoosh questions.
can anyone pls tell me how different are the magoosh questions from the actual GMAT?

Hi nehad1992

Its better to stick to official sources rather than non official ones.
I suggest you can go thru official guides and then proceed to question pack.

Thanks

Hi nehad1992,

Thanks for signing up for Magoosh! In the future, if you have questions about Magoosh questions, you can post them at the Magoosh subforum, or reach out to us directly with the "Help" tab on the Magoosh Dashboard.

We work hard to make our content as similar to the actual test as possible. The more that students use Magoosh and take the test, the more information we receive on how accurate our material is. Many students who took the test told us that our questions and their difficulty level matched what they saw on the real test. So, you can expect Magoosh easy questions to be like easy questions on the actual exam, and Magoosh very difficult questions to be like very difficult questions on the actual exam.

Now, your score on a Magoosh practice test is predicted by getting feedback from previous users (i.e. their score on the actual GMAT), comparing that to their performance on Magoosh practice problems (the number and difficulty of questions answered), and formulating a predicted score based on the correlation between these two things. It is the same process we use for predicting students' GRE score, which we wrote about here. We are always tweaking and improving the score predictor, so it is not entirely accurate.

While we do our best to provide the most accurate score possible, ultimately the closest you'll get to the actual exam is the GMAT Prep Mock Test. This is a free test created by the same company that makes the GMAT, so the questions are similar to the test, the adaptive nature of the test is similar, and the scoring algorithm matches that of the actual test.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you still have any questions about this :)
