Scored 670 on GMAT. What to do next?

Scored 670 on GMAT. What to do next? [#permalink] New post   02 Jan 2021, 11:29
Coming back from exam centre after having accpeted a 670 on GMAT. had planned to apply in R2 in schools like ISB,Darden, Cornell etc. No idea what to do now. Feeling devastated. Kindly suggest what to do next.

First Just don't be sad. I would suggest apply to ISB using this score and keep preparing for the GMAT. Before the Interview you can give the fresh score to the university. That the best you can do.

Hi ac2311,

From the tone of your post, it sounds as though you are not happy with this result. A 670 is a solid Score though - and depending on your Quant Scaled Score and your overall profile, it could be enough to get you into your first-choice School. You're ultimately asking Admissions questions though, so you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

If you choose to retest, then we'll need to define your prior studies in more detail. If you would prefer to discuss those details in private, then you can feel free to PM me directly. In addition, you might choose to purchase the Enhanced Score Report. While the ESR doesn’t provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what went wrong on Test Day (and what you should work on to score higher). If you purchase the ESR, then I'll be happy to analyze it for you.

Another thing to consider is to casually reach out to your uni(s) and/or alumni or current students to see how your overall profile may fare.

I dont really know if I can beat this score. Have no idea how people crush the GMAT!!
