I am a Canadian permanent resident from India. I have 5 years of experience, in multiple companies though ( 5 companies ) to be precise.
I am under a fix now and confused about whether to do my MBA in Canada or the U.S. I have a GMAT score of 710.
I want to finish my residency obligation in Canada ( 2 and a half years remaining ). But, I want to work in the U.S as the pay and opportunity are better over there. As I need to finish my residency obligation, I can start studying only by 2022 and by that time, I will be having 8 years of Work experience.
With the rise of STEM MBA's, I get 3 years of work visa OPT and I can apply for a H1B thrice. Considering I will be a Canadian by then, I can even opt for the TN1 Visa.
However, my job prospects in Canada are not great considering Coronavirus and if I do my MBA quickly here, I can start earning and probably join a company that sponsors H1B in the US.
I'm very confused and I need help. Can someone suggest your thoughts and provide guidance or even mention where I can find guidance?
PkUnbreakable,
In conclusion ,u r going to stay in Canada for next 2.5 yrs.
Option 1)2.5 years can be spent in exploring ND gaining job experience. And parallel u can kick start some basic business foundation courses online.
Later u can apply US University in 2022. 8 years experience is an upside not otherwise.
Option 2) right away apply ND Join top college In Canada, and later for exchange program opt some US University.Even if exchange is not available, u can apply tn1 as u said.
And as they say:
Decision isn't right or wrong,
We make a decision ND then work hard to make it rite!!
