STUDY PLAN/GUIDANCE/TEST PREP COURSE (QUANTS)

Hi Everyone

I need some advice/guidance about my GMAT prep.

Background: I am 24/m from India with Commerce background and have worked for 2.5 years with PwC (Currently not working anywhere). I have been fairly good with  academics- GPA 4 and have also cleared CFA Level 1 in my first attempt . I  gave my Gmat with 3 months of preparation  which I did from course prep given by  Jamboree India in Nov'20 (got covid +ve 2 days before exam) and scored 550, Q42 - V28.  Due to circumstances I was unable to retake or even revise for next attempt. But now I have started to study again.

Current Situation: I am not working and don't intend to work until I beat the gmat exam. I have studied for almost a month mid Feb - mid March and have improved majorly upon my verbal skills and currently have an accuracy of 26/36 questions in Verbal but my Quants is being a problem to me now as I am unable to solve most of Hard questions (Can't even start few questions of Number system, Inequalities, RTW). I want to score 700 atleast and for that I think I can manage to improve my Quants more easily than Verbal. 
So for  Quants, I am looking for prep courses  as I was very unsatisfied with what I have learnt from Jamboree education. I am able to grasp the concepts and be mindful of them while solving a question but  the application of same is troublesome . I guess the prep courses would be more or less same but I want to  improve on my analytical thinking and application of the concepts  rather than just learning it.

Aim: Score 700+ till  May (3 months of prep time) . Can invest 6-7 hours per day.

Currently I have come across a number of test prep courses and I am confused between  Target Test Prep and E-gmat  (basis the number of reviews they have on gmatclub).

I sincerely request all fellow test takers and experts to guide me through the same and suggest a good fitting  test prep course  (open to other suggestions as well).

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

1) What study materials have you used so far besides the course you took last year?
2) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
3) For your next attempt, are you planning to take the At-home GMAT or are you planning to take your GMAT at a Test Facility?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT tests only certain concepts from the Quant topics. So, if you know the question types and learn the right methodologies to solve those question types, then you will most likely score well on the quant section. Before you start preparing, it's important that you identify your weak areas. Let me help you with the process.

How to improve Quant score? 
The first step in the process of improvement is to identify your weak areas. So, if you are clear of the topics in which you are struggling, then that would be easy for you. Once you do that,

Identify if it's the concepts or the application of the topic in which you are struggling 
 If it's the concept, then revisit the concepts of that topic and make sure you understand perfectly this time 
 If it's the methodology, then analyze the solutions of the questions of that topic in depth

This is how you should work on your weak areas. Make sure to focus on the methodology part as that is majorly tested on GMAT. You can go through the recording below to understand it better.

How to choose the right resource: 
Always choose a course which can help you with the application part along with the concepts. Because, the better your application skills are, the better your performance is going to be.  And one important aspect in the process of working on your weak areas is analyzing solutions. You need to analyze the solutions in depth to understand the exact step at which you are making the mistake . This is one of the most effective ways to learn the right methodology and to nullify your gaps. So, choose the course which can provide you with standard questions and their detailed solutions. All in all, make sure the course you choose provides you with the below factors.

Concepts 
 Methodology (Most important) 
 Standard questions 
 Their detailed solutions 
 Study plan (Makes the process more structured)
