Hi everyone. I need some help figuring out what 1 year MBA programs to target. Here is some basic information on my application.
GMAT: 710 (6 on essay, 7 on IR)
GPA: 3.97
Work Experience: Went straight into medical school. Will take a year off after my third year to attend an MBA program.
Extracurriculars: 600+ hours volunteering at several diff places, research in undergrad and medical school (including publications), resident assistant for two years, many leadership roles during medical school, etc. I have plenty of leadership and volunteering roles
I know this isn't much information, but any thoughts on 1 year programs that are within reach for me in terms of admissions and scholarships? Thanks.
Well, start with the best - Cornell and Kellogg.
And then move on down.
I’d love to help you out in terms of advising you on your chances, but without more info it’s gonna be hard. Where did you work? Do you have any leadership? What are your great achievements? Do you have notable community service or extra curriculars? Which school did you graduate from?
And most importantly, WHY do you want an MBA? What do you want to do afterwards??? Answer these quesitons,a nd things will become clearer!
All of these will play important roles in your evaluation.
Best,
Jon
