Verbal is slightly different from Quant in the sense that it is more difficult to assign a level of difficulty to a certain question.

I think I have read a couple of times that the test tends to be lest adaptable in the Verbal section as compared to Quant.
However, if anyone has heard different things or has more detail to chip in please let me know if I am wrong. :)

Cheers,
Chris

I'm sure it can not be as less adaptive as demonstrated above. I got a V40, with just a handful of 700+ questions thrown at me and so many sub 600 ones thrown at me. :)

Its as if the exam did not even give me a fair opportunity to prove I can answer harder questions too! Its really surprising.

One thing that might have had an influence is the fact that it was the last prep test.
Depending on your previous performance it could be possible that there was only a limited set of 700+ level questions that remained in the question pool.

However, this is mere speculation on my side.

Regards,
Chris

Hi BL1993,

What you see on GMAT Club, as far as difficulty level is concerned, may not be 100% accurate because it’s based on the GMAT Club user base and not data from GMAC. Thus, the algorithm likely functioned how it should. In any case, you did really well on your test! If on the real GMAT you can replicate your performance (2 incorrect quant questions and 5 incorrect verbal questions), you’ll have one heck of a GMAT score!
