1 cake reuqires 2/3 cup of sugar.
4 cups of sugar -> 4/(2/3) = 6cakes hence, D.

Given: The recipe for a cake called for 2/3 cup of sugar.
Asked: How many cakes did Tanya bake for her birthday, if she used 4 cups of sugar ?
In 2/3 cups of sugar => 1 cake is baked
In 1 cups of sugar => 3/2 cakes are baked
In 4 cups of sugar => 3/2*4 = 6 cakes are baked.
