The regular food served to babies should be mixed with the new food supplement that is available in the market. The supplement, when mixed with regular food, enhances the digestion capability of babies and increases the nutritional value derived by the babies from the regular food. Although the supplement does not enhance the nutritional value derived by the babies from certain types of food, it is recommended that all parents add the supplement to all types of baby food.

Which one of the following, if true, most strengthens the argument?

A. Baby food cannot provide the required nutrients to babies without a food supplement such as one discussed in the argument.

B. Food supplement companies rarely accept that their supplements may not work with certain types of food

C. Irrespective of the type of baby food it is mixed with, the food supplement has no side effect.

D. The food supplement is organic in nature and can not be used with adult food.

E. When the supplement does not enhance the nutritional value derived by the babies from a food the supplement is mixed with, it still acts as a digestive.

---supplement increases the nutritional value and enhances the digestion capability ---out
B. Food supplement companies rarely accept that their supplements may not work with certain types
of food
---does not support the conclusion
C. Irrespective of the type of baby food it is mixed with, the food supplement has no side effect.
---Should be the answer
D. The food supplement is organic in nature and can not be used with adult food.
---out of scope ..Adult food ?
E. When the supplement does not enhance the nutritional value derived by the babies from a food the
supplement is mixed with, it still acts as a digestive.
---somewhat strengthens , but still doesn't support enough to conclude that
all parents add the supplement to all types of baby food

Choice between A and C. To me A seems correct. C is talking about side effects that are not discussed. But lets wait for OA

A. Baby food cannot provide the required nutrients to babies without a food supplement such as one discussed in the argument.
Cannot is too extreme ..as argument just says supplements adds additonal nutritional value and helps in digestion

B. Food supplement companies rarely accept that their supplements may not work with certain types of food
Out Of scope

C. Irrespective of the type of baby food it is mixed with, the food supplement has no side effect.
the arguments suggest that supplements should either increase nutritional value or increase digestive capability or both.
This statement does not say anything.

D. The food supplement is organic in nature and can not be used with adult food.- Out Of scope

E. When the supplement does not enhance the nutritional value derived by the babies from a food the supplement is mixed with, it still acts as a digestive.
Correctly mentions that adding supplememnts atleast increases digestive capability if not nutritional value

The information provided talks about two advantage of supplement:
1.Enhances the digestion capability of babies
2.Increases the nutritional value derived by the babies from the regular food

Even if point.2 can't be met with certain types of food, it is still recommended to use supplement.

Why? Pre-thinking forces us to assume that may be point.1 is still valid for other types of food (Non-regular)

A. Baby food cannot provide the required nutrients to babies without a food supplement such as one discussed in the argument.
Baby food is not in question : Incorrect

B. Food supplement companies rarely accept that their supplements may not work with certain types of food
We don't care what companies think : Incorrect

C. Irrespective of the type of baby food it is mixed with, the food supplement has no side effect.
If we read the conclusion carefully, the term "recommended" makes the difference; the conclusion's intent is to hint about an advantage and not to discuss the aspect mentioned in this answer choice. : Incorrect

D. The food supplement is organic in nature and can not be used with adult food.
Adult food! Please stay out of it : Incorrect

E. When the supplement does not enhance the nutritional value derived by the babies from a food the supplement is mixed with, it still acts as a digestive.
This answer choice is consistent with our pre-thinking; it states an unsaid advantage explicitly : Correct
