I got into UBC MBA class of 2017. Location : New Delhi, India Experience : 9 years with The Royal Bank of Scotland (Compliance, Markets, Operations, Business Management) GMAT : 690 Applied : 3rd Jan 2016 Invited for Interview : 25th Feb 2016 Interview : 16th Mar 2016 Confirmation : 7th Apr 2016 Looking forward to connect with my future classmates!
Hi Guys, just finished my interview. Interviewer was Katerina. She asked a loooot of questions. Stated with usual, most were new and specific. She was taking notes continuously. Interview went well according to me. I was able to communicate everything I wanted to. A few fumbles here and there and hiccups in one of the questions, apart from that it was good. *Fingers Crossed* God Bless!

Hi,
I would say your best shot would be in R1 or max. R2.
Till then I would suggest you to improve other aspect of your application and definitely retake GMAT.
Has anyone got the following sort of reply/request from Sauder Administration:
"1. TOEFL/IELTS/PTE/MELAB to be written. In order for us to waive your English exam requirement, please note that your transcript/degree certificate must indicate English was used as the medium of instruction. Or, you would have to request the University Registrar of your school to send an official letter stating that the above is true. "
i was checking prodigy finance website and it says they cover maximum amount of tution fees only in loan ? how are we supposed to cover our additional expenses ? shall we take 2 loans ?
i have an uncle in canada on PR since 3-4 years. Can he take a loan on my behalf in anyway ?

If you have an Uncle with a PR in Canada and is ready to be a co-signor, you should be better approaching the Canadian banks for a student line of credit instead of Prodigy. The rates of Prodigy are much higher than the Canadian banks, who would probably give it to you at 3.25-3.5% I think. Prodigy will only finance if you do not go with another debt based funding, which means you cannot get another loan if you are going with Prodigy.
Can i get a student line of credit even if i am not a canadian citizen/PR holder ? Will it affect my study permit chances ? i am applying for Sauder...and my uncle lives in Toronto, will it cause any problem ?

I think you can as long as the co-signor has a PR. Please call Scotiabank or Bank of Montreal and enquire about it. Study permit won't be affected in any way, don't understand why you'd think so. Location of co-signor in Canada will be irrelevant, so yes, he should be able to sign for you, don't see any problems there.
Got accepted into UBC.. thanks for all the help and info guys.. Does anyone know about the Work permit since the mba at UBC is only 16 months and not the 2 years where you get the 3 year work permit in Canada..?

Congrats!
Could you please share your profile and application timeline?
On your WP question, if you have studied Masters from a reputed University in Canada, you are then eligible for 1-3 years of work permit. It depends on the discretion of your Visa Application Coordinator.

Yes, it's a snapshot of the data uploaded here.. so as long as every one has updated their profile and school details correctly page 1 is correct and updated.
Just got the acceptance email!!! No talk of $ yet and and it may be too late to hope for any, but I'm in and I'm stoked. Time to decide what to do with my next two years!

Nice! Congratulations! Can you share your applicant profile dekiruzooo?
I am still waiting to hear about a decision. I was told that the admissions committee just met yesterday.
I received an email today asking to do a 2nd interview at the request of the Admissions Committee to discuss my career goals and reasons for doing an MBA at this point.
Has anyone else had to do a 2nd interview with Sauder? How did it go? What was it like? I wasn't expecting to do a 2nd interview, which I guess in a way is good because I am not out of the running, but on the other hand, these were topics discussed in my 1st interview and it sounds like maybe they think that my career goals might not be a good fit with the program and school? Or perhaps they are not convinced that I should be doing an MBA at this point in my life. Not really sure what to think.
Hey guys.. Please share with us the career prospects for NON-IT background admits in Vancouver,if anyone has any idea.. Further, Sauder doesn't provide a comprehensive employment report... companies listed in the website are also very few compared to other reputed universities of Canada...So what are your expectations from the MBA program?
