Official GMAT's latest Tweet Reply (22nd April) (given in general to all critical tweets reg. online scratch board)
We hear your frustration and want you to know that we are actively working on a solution, which will take some time to complete. Communicating these changes to you is a high priority for us and we will share additional information on the whiteboard as soon as it’s available.

Official GMAT's Tweet Reply on 18th April
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are actively investigating ways to make the GMAT Online test-taking experience even better. Stay tuned for an update.

They RECOGNIZE our FRUSTRATION! (at least as on 22nd April). Since touch screen option is already available, can we imply from the tweet that they will allow stylus or scratch pad in future?? In this regard, are we not better off if we wait till April 28th? (date of their next webinar).

That is a crazy leap of faith to take. The touch screen option was already there and I would bet it was an oversight on their end

Has anyone normal taken the exam yet? I mean someone who is not a tutor or standardized test enthusiast like Souvik? When you have everything on the line and with pressing deadlines, how did you perform in this nerve wrecking format?

Thank you so much for posting! Found the post and addicting it to your post.

LOL. They have been all over this touchscreen issue. Someone also has a copy of the message where they say that you can use touchscreen for whiteboard.... link: https://gmatclub.com/forum/gmat-online- ... l#p2502423

Another issue that seems to be up in the air is wired or wireless mice/keyboards. There are several conflicting messages about them as well.

search "gmat whiteboard" on twitter and check the latest results. The instruction on touchscreen should be the first one. I check it over 10 times everyday

Keyboard tips for the online whiteboard (MAC - not sure about other PCs):

Option+V = √ (Square root)
Option+P = π

Note that while these shortcuts work in the practice whiteboards, they are disabled on the GMAT. Hailey mentioned it in a few places that shortcuts don’t work :(

Sorry - i don't like to bring bad news but better than being surprised on the test :(

FYI - I have put together a single Whiteboard-dedicated topic to keep everything in the same place:

Just saw this comment on the YouTube:

Noemi Bagno
8 hours ago (edited)
I just received an e-mail from the official GMAC customer center (Shira Stein) and they stated that no stylus is allowed BUT we can use our fingers to tap on the touchscreen and write notes. The e-mail stated: "you will be able to use the touchscreen with your finger, you will not be able to use a stylus".

Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msHroJQj2cc

Hi bb,

Thanks for this info. Might be a silly question, but given that we can use our fingers to write notes using a touchscreen, can I also fold my laptop if it's a 2-in-1 laptop.

Thanks,
I think you will still need the camera contact
