i hate rolling admissions, wish all schools could send interview invite or reject on a single date. no one would suffer the agony of checking their mail and portal repeatedly

I don’t think … how can they differentiate on that basis!! It is an extreme conclusion to drive.
Any school for that matter , having such an aspect — not good

It's clearly nationality based. It's not hard to see. Just shows how Indian applicants in general, irrespective of country of residence, have not been getting invites so far in R2.

Not to say that we are all rejected yet but clearly we apply from a VERY competitive pool and the school has to build a diverse cohort. It doesn't work in my favor since I'm Indian but it is what it is.

Becomes tougher in r2 unfortunately. In hindsight, I think I should have applied to a couple of schools in r1

Or maybe given the indian applicant pool is so large, the adcom will look to send invites a little late. Happened with me in other schools applications.

A friend of mine told me - screenshotted the guy’s story. But he’s from Nepal (a highly underrepresented country and he’s an undergrad gold medalist and an investment banker working in NYC), so his case wasn’t that surprising. The girls

The girl’s case on the otherhand was very surprising though - especially her confidence that she even made a youtube video out of it :D :D

People get in at lower scores all the time. This just shows how good her credentials must have been.
