Can anyone let me know how does one use the Application fee waiver that he/she might have received from having attended the GMAT club sessions?

Hi. Here is what Fuqua AdCom replied to us about instructions a few weeks ago: (this is adcom writing)

When it comes to the fee waivers, we just tag applicant name in our system. They just have to input that they attended a GMAT Club event in the application.

Hi,
Thank you for your response.
But what if the name used for the zoom session does not match the legal name that the applicant would be applying with?

I believe the same email ID used for both can also work.

Hi, I had a doubt regarding contacting ADCOM. Is it okay to ask them how I can improvise my application and what kind of updates they are expecting so I can get off the waitlist in EA round.

Has everyone received a mail with the subject line ’Join the Fuqua School of Business in an Upcoming Event!’? Even people who have interviewed in R1?

Most schools don't take you off their distribution lists just based on your application status. It's likely you'll keep receiving these types of emails later on even if you were admitted in an early round.

Hey, friends! Looking for some advice here.

When I answer the second essay (i.e. 3 ways I plan to contribute), should my emphasis be on what I plan to create or lead, not what I plan to participate in?

In a past/example essay I saw very little mention of activity clubs with a bigger focus on professional and diversity clubs, and even within those, the essay had a stronger focus on what the applicant plans to do differently (e.g. create new clubs or start new "treks").

Has anyone approached it differently?

I didnt write about anything new I wanna do, just participating in the activities/clubs already there, but focused on how I can add value given my experiences.

Same here.

Try to really focus on how you can utilize learnings from your past experiences (work, extracurriculars, projects, your background, education, hobbies, ...) to contribute to Fuqua in the area that you want to pursue there. Try to be as specific as possible, e.g.: you helped organize a big event at your university, at Fuqua you want to focus on area X, and there is a big annual conference on that topic, organized by a certain club; write as specifically as possible about how you can apply what you did in the past to your interests for the future and how that is going to benefit the wider Fuqua community.
