I feel RTI is a fundamental right, any of us can file an RTI, paying a nominal fee and ask the same question and get it clarified officially.

All the best :)

Not as a part of the admission decision process. But if you are admitted and once you accept the offer, a Background Verification is initiated through a 3rd party - they may or may not call your Supervisor. But your company will definitely get a call/email requesting a validation of your employment, etc. (based on the contact info shared on the relieving letter, etc.)

Are the interviews over for R1? What is the normal trend of announcing results post the last date of interviews?

Some admission-related statistics from IIM-A's annual report: About 76% of those who applied were shortlisted for interviews for PGPX 2024–25 batch. About 24% of those who interviewed were offered an admit; another 20% waitlisted. Broadly, four shortlisted candidates competing for one seat.

Source: http://vslir.iima.ac.in:8080/xmlui/handle/11718/27715 (Page 17)

Actual text: "A total of 941 applications were received for PGPX 2024–25 (327 in Round 1, 251 in Round 2, 363 in Round 3). About 714 were shortlisted for interviews (271 in Round-1, 204 in Round-2 and 239 in Round-3). Personal interviews were held at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, and a few international candidates were interviewed through video conferencing. Final offers were made to 170 candidates, and 142 were wait-listed. Finally, 158 candidates (including two from the previous year’s deferrals) have joined the programme. Two candidates have deferred their admissions to the next batch starting in April 2025."
