I am a current 2nd year medical student looking to get my MBA in between my 3rd and 4th year. I have an undergraduate finance degree from a decent state business school (Eller) with a minor in biochemistry and I attend a state medical school. My undergrad GPA was a 3.8 and I worked in a healthcare setting for 1 year before starting med school. I took the GMAT this summer and got a 740 (47Q, 46V) with a 5 AWA and an 8 IR. While I was extremely happy with my overall performance, my Q score is way to low for my liking. My question is given my score and profile am I competitive for the top 1 year MBA programs? Some names I'm looking at specifically are Cornell and NW which I have heard are friendly to medical school applicants.
A appreciate any and all feedback and advice! Thanks in advance!
Thank you for your post. You have a really impressive profile from what I see (though what medical school?) We work with MDs every year (have a few currently and former MDs from last year are at Wharton, Columbia and other top schools) and I can certainly talk with you about how we can work together on your applications. Email
scott@personalmbacoach.com with your resume so we can discuss further.
