RJVB
Hi there,
My first time posting on this.
What’s the best gmat prep books to use for both Quant and Verbal?
I attempted the GMAT and got the worst score I’ve ever gotten (with doing all the practice tests from the OG as well as the free ones from Kaplan and Veritas Prep).
My math is strong and English weaker but from my scores I saw the opposite. However I did panic in the online exam and as math was first that got the worst hit which made me push harder for the verbal section.
I’m aiming for a 650.
Hi RJVB,
Before I suggest you the resources, I would like to know what exactly are you struggling with. Knowing your weak areas is the first step in the process of improving your score. And if you are just looking for a resource that will help you to practice questions, then I'm afraid that you are not doing your prep in the right way. The right way to prepare is by learning the right methods to solve questions and then practicing a few questions of that topic to get comfortable with the methodology.
So, choose a resource which can help you with
- Methodology
- Standard questions to practice with detailed solutions (Most of your learning happens during the analysis of solution)
- Working on weak areas
- Study plan
I think an online course would be much better because you can access all the content on one place. The best way to choose an online course if by checking out the free trial of the courses and then decide the one which suits you better. You can go through this
article to understand a
few key factors that you should keep in mind while evaluating the online courses.
If you are open to suggestion, I would suggest you to check out the free trial of
GMATWhiz. And before that, I would like to have a detailed discussion with you regarding your weak areas and the way your approached questions till now so that I can understand your concerns and guide you in a better way. You can get in touch with me using the below link.
