Hello,
I took the GMAT last month and got a 680 (V40, Q44). I was disappointed with my Quant score, since quant has always been my strength. I prepared for ~ 2 months. I took the Experts Global mock test series, and made sure I took atleast 1 mock every 2-3 days for a month before exam. My lowest score in any mock was 700. And my lowest quant score was Q47 across the 8 mocks I took. I also took the GMATPrep mocks - and scored a 740(Q50) & 710. I was shocked to see a 680 finally flash on the screen. I took all mocks in the same environment as real GMAT- no extra breaks, no distractions, etc, although I didn't take any at the same time as the test (which was at 8 am).
Anyway, I've booked another test next week , and I purchased the 4 official mocks and have again been consistently scoring 700+ ( 710, 750, 720). I also completed all Veritas prep quant books- DS, WP, Alg, Arith, Geometry.
Does this mean I'm prepared for the exam or is there something more to do?
PS: I've booked an afternoon slot this time, guessing that my concentration is not the best early mornings. But I don't really know what even went wrong on test day last time. Has this problem been encountered by anyone before?

pls try to complete gmatclubfroum's quant tests.They are above gmat level. If the score on gmatclub quant tests is 45-46 on average , you can expect 48-50 on the actual test

First Order your ESR to get an idea where you went wrong. Focus on that particular area. Next, I think you should watch this video, Gmatninja has mentioned very minute points where we end up losing points on the Gmat. Looking at your mock scores, and actual score I think the problem was those minute basic mistakes where you lost your points not lack of knowledge or anything. For example, We should avoid mistakes in first 10 question, we gotta keep mistakes to a minimum level and as far as first 2-3 questions are concerned we should get them correct because those are the basic level questions and if you get those question wrong then your level of difficulty does not increase for further questions. And we end up scoring below 48 or 47.
