Hello,
I took the GMAT last month and got a 680 (V40, Q44). I was disappointed with my Quant score, since quant has always been my strength. I prepared for ~ 2 months. I took the
Experts Global mock test series, and made sure I took atleast 1 mock every 2-3 days for a month before exam. My lowest score in any mock was 700. And my lowest quant score was Q47 across the 8 mocks I took. I also took the GMATPrep mocks - and scored a 740(Q50) & 710. I was shocked to see a 680 finally flash on the screen. I took all mocks in the same environment as real GMAT- no extra breaks, no distractions, etc, although I didn't take any at the same time as the test (which was at 8 am).
Anyway, I've booked another test next week , and I purchased the 4 official mocks and have again been consistently scoring 700+ ( 710, 750, 720). I also completed all Veritas prep quant books- DS, WP, Alg, Arith, Geometry.
Does this mean I'm prepared for the exam or is there something more to do?
PS: I've booked an afternoon slot this time, guessing that my concentration is not the best early mornings. But I don't really know what even went wrong on test day last time. Has this problem been encountered by anyone before?
Regards
