Why did you apply to these schools?

What type of consulting?

... again, Katz is your best choice ... but there are other better choices ... however, I'm not too certain how feasible it is to get in these other schools at this stage of your career. Seven years of experience is close to needing to migrate to a night's and weekends MBA or an EMBA.

I'm still not clear as to WHY you applied to these schools if you don't seem to know if either or both might help you achieve your goals.

Can you please provide some additional context?

Thanks again for the prompt response.
Well to be honest I applied to multiple schools ( few higher ranked one as well). Owing to my poor GMAT score I could not cross the hurdle in most of them. However I have got acceptance from these options as mentioned. I understand 7 year is almost touching a bar of EMBA somehow and that’s what is making me rethink if I try another shot at GMAT score and applying for the next Fall?
Moreover as advised by collègues and mates , a two year MBA is my best bet to give a shot to switch domain/industry or enter into GENERAL Management profile. Owing to my technical profile with some touch to background of Project Management, Data Analysis & programming languages I believe my best shot is a IT consulting or Energy Consulting if I want to build up on my existing experience.
The reason for switching the industry is also something that I want to touch upon. I guess the cyclic nature of Oil and Gas Prices have made me see the ups and down of the industry. I have made good fortunes while working for short stint in Norway and U.K. When the industry was in healthy state , however have seen lay offs as well on the other side. I believe I would rather stick to a less volatile industry or equip myself with learning which can have have a cross sector appeal. That’s where an MBA with BA comes into picture for me.
There is a personal side for making a decision for MBA now as my spouse is currently living and working in the States near around Boston and we need to decide if we are moving to States or Shift back to India where I am currently working.
Also though the scales of my current salary are not very high but I am earning around 30000 $ in India which is probably close to six digit salary range in US. I am also bit skeptical about leaving the job and industry in current economic situation to go with an MBA in ever tightened immigration rules of US Govt or at least that’s what I hear.
With the corona pandemic playing it’s part the situation has become even more trickier.
Would love to hear your views if you were in my shoes . Please feel free to ask if anything still seems unclear with my intent.
Appreciate your help here
Cheers

I've heard zero good stories about Babson helping students get jobs.

I know almost nothing about the MBA program at UCONN and only a little more about Katz.

I agree with the others ... a two year immersion program is a great way to go ... however ... sometimes life's experiences mean other choices are made.

Hopefully, the world will be back to a reasonable economy by the time you'd graduate.

Asking the choices you're considering, Katz is probably your best bet. And after considering the scholarships, it's not even close. Katz is your school.

Thanks bud!
The info you shared is of great help. I am at least less confused about school choices that I have this year.
I might give GMAT one more time though , lets see if that is of any help .
Cheers

Maybe ask for a deferral with scholarship from Katz so you at least have a solid worst case scenario.
