UNC does have a good OMBA program, as does Michigan Ross ... but, I think the original poster is wanting an actual degree in data analytics / business analytics.

........

To the original questions, to be sure, an EMBA is an entirely different animal than an OMBA. The price difference between an EMBA and an OMBA is explained by many reasons, including the additional VALUE one should get from the intimate personal interaction among the cohort.

Given your background in math and analytics, to advance to the c-suite may necessitate a deeper understanding of and competency in non-numbers areas (leadership, brand management, negotiation strategies, etc.).

I think an EMBA could really be a good fit for you.

I'll encourage you to reach out to at least two people in career services at a school offering an EMBA and two offering an OMBA (or an online version in business / data analytics) to explain your situation and goals, and see if that helps crystallize things in your mind.
