Hey all,
I've taken the online gmat twice so I wanted to share my experience for any upcoming test takers. Things I learned:
- Registering can take 10-15 minutes so make sure you don't wait till the last minute to start the process. You should be fine even if you start with say 5-10 minutes to go, but the added stress is not worth it.
- Make sure to let you neighbors/building/etc. know that they should not disturb you (I had someone knock on my door the first time). I put a sign outside my apt door the second time.
- At the top of your screen you'll have a small toolbar that includes a small screen showing you (since they're recording you). This can be distracting at first (you can move around the toolbar to choose where it should go), so digest the fact that it's there and just move on.
- Don't wear too many/few layers that you'll be too cold/warm during the exam. Just use common sense here.
- Leave the house before the exam to get some fresh air and get in the zone.
Keep focused and best of luck.
