After I decided to take up the GMAT, I was looking for a perfect course that would help me achieve my goals. I watched a few webinars of E-Gmat and also took the opinion of some of my friends. Finally, after a lot of research and reading the reviews in GMAT Club I decided to enroll in the e-gmat course. First, I signed up for a free trial just to check it out. I felt very positive about the way the concepts are taught and signed up for the full course. I would like to say about a few things which make e-gmat the best course online.

Verbal:

SC - Hands down, e-gmat is the best in this aspect. The SC concept videos, application files, and practice quizzes are so helpful in learning the concepts. Visually, the style of animation and the pace of teaching will make you get immersed in the content. The detailed explanations in the application files and practice quizzes really help the student in understanding where he/she went wrong. Particularly, the meaning-based approach is so brilliant that it increases the student's accuracy to the next level.

CR - Previously, I had little experience in critical thinking questions while preparing for CAT but I always used to stumble in some questions. I did not know why a particular answer is right and why a particular answer is wrong. The egmat rethinking strategy helped me in this aspect. Again, the explanations for every question are on-point and help us to think in the right direction.

RC- Again, this was my weak area during my CAT preparation. I did not know what to do about this. That's when egmat came to my rescue. RC Key Reading strategies taught in the egmat course helped me cross this hurdle. I always used to try reading the RC fast and then answer the questions but it is not the right approach. Egmat RC strategy explained how we must take enough time to understand the passage, take notice of tricky little details, and map the passage on the whole. This helps in reducing the time taken to complete the passage as a whole along with questions.

Verbal Scholaranium:
I must say this is the best practice arena for a student who wants to master the concepts of verbal in GMAT. The custom quizzes, ability quizzes, and cementing quizzes help us in identifying the gaps in our concepts. I particularly liked that if we don't score above 75% in medium difficulty and above 55% in Hard difficulty questions, then we need to watch the videos again if possible and go through the application files. This particularly helped me for my second attempt. I identified gaps in my concepts and worked on them.

Quant 2.0
The quant course if done right will fetch you a Q51 for sure. I can assure you that. The diagnostic quizzes, the concept files, and the practice files are very well structured that the concepts get cemented in your brain. I will recommend the egmat quant course for anyone weak in quant.

SIGMA-X Mocks:
Sigma-X mocks come very close to the actual mocks. Though they do not follow the same algorithm by the official mock, they are adaptive in nature. They point out the weak areas where you can improve.

Also, the kind of support we get during the entire preparation journey is awesome. Our queries are answered at the earliest. Most of our doubts get solved by the already existing comments under each question.

Last but not least talking about the LMT Program, Atreya helped me in the final leg of my preparation. He identified the key areas where I was lacking and helped me with personalized plans and strategies to get to my goal.

Finally, I would say egmat is the most structured preparation course I have ever enrolled in. Prepare diligently with the help of this course and success is guaranteed.

I took the GMAT recently and scored a 710. I did mainly SC and some Quant topics from TTP's course as I was already decent at other sections of GMAT verbal. I was impressed by the course's exhaustiveness. It covers everything you need to know. Things I like about TTP:

1. It makes your task easier by providing you different features such as highlights, bookmarks, excellent error log, etc. These features may sound normal, but they are lifesavers when you are reviewing the material and errors.

2. The course covers everything you need. Once you complete this course, you'll not need to do anything else. Just make sure that you don't finish the course in hurry.

3. Strategy lessons are just awesome. GMAT is not just about concepts, but also mind set. I think the strategy lessons help you a lot to create the right mindset.

I honestly think TTP spoon feeds you everything you need for a good GMAT score.

I also did some quant chapters. However, I did them in a hurry and didn't complete the chapters. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I am decent at quant so I skimmed through the concepts and didn't take the chapter tests. I would highly recommend to just take the TTP course and follow the process they mention.

I started the E-Gmat course after attending a few EGMAT webinars on Youtube. I had enrolled into the GMAT Online version of EGMAT.

The thing that stood for me the most were the CR and SC videos on the website. They are very carefully curated and use the best examples. The tests within the module also are good and have very detailed explanations. The query resolution is very fast (in my case ~7-8 hours).

But the crown jewel is actually the verbal and the quant scholaranium. These are very good practice resources and are a little difficult than the actual GMAT. These problems very well capture the essence of the concept and have very good and detailed explanations (Some have 12-17 min detailed and comprehensive explanations).

The Sigma-X mocks are good practice and have some useful insights too.

All in all, i felt that EGMAT was worth every penny and earns my highest recommendation.

Four years, from 2018 to 2021, I have literally dreamt about seeing that “7” at the beginning of my GMAT score.

In 2018 I went into the GMAT naïve about the process as well as sacrifice ahead of me needed to hit this score. After 6 months of studying and utilizing various materials I saw my first official GMAT practice score: 450.

I have a long journey ahead of me.

After a few years of studying on and off, utilizing various popular study materials, and even meeting with a couple of known tutors (more on this in a moment), in August 2020, I hit a 560 (Q39/V27), solid improvement but still nowhere near my target goal.

By May 2021, I knew I had to commit, I am over 30 as it is and life’s plans at some point soon is likely going to make pursuing a full-time MBA program incredibly difficult. Being a first-generation college student from a low-income background I am incredibly cost adverse, but as I said, I need to make a change as everything prior just was not going anywhere.

Now, I said I was going to bring up those “known tutors” again. I had reached out to GMAT Ninja as well as a few others back in 2019. GMAT Ninja, admittedly, cost more than the others so I passed. The second was a well-known and regarded GMAT figure and tutor (whom I will keep anonymous) that simply said what I was hoping to achieve would not be possible. This individual was crass and condescending – obviously this was not going to work. The last tutor, who is also a well known GMAT figure and all-around nice guy, is who I went with at a lower cost. I had a couple of tutoring sessions with him but the whole process simply lacked structure and I did not feel like I was gaining traction.

Now let’s return to May 2021. Four years into this process and ready to commit, I reached back out to GMAT Ninja and was subsequently introduced to Harry Duthie for our first session on May 10th. Immediately you became aware that you were working with a professional that respected not only your time, but your investment. It was apparent, there was a reason why they cost more.

For example, many tutors will have no issue with entertaining your tirades or just having a long – and expensive! – chat with you. Harry Duthie, on the other hand, makes you work. Harry will drive any ounce of value that he can out of the two-hour session, which at times, can be one of the most exhausting but valuable components of studying throughout the week. Then guess what? After that session, you have a lot of homework to complete.

Do you need structure? GMAT Ninja and Harry function on providing a structure that evolves and builds on your needs. What did I need exactly? Quant, of course, but specifically an absolute ton of verbal work. Going from V27 to V40 is no joke and I commend Harry and his ability to push my thought process and logical abilities to the point in which I was getting nearly 90%+ correct on both CR and RC. I will say though, there are no tricks here, and trust me – in four years I have tried to learn them all via. Powerscore, Manhattan, etc and they just didn’t work. Harry will push your ability to think critically, and this is a much more powerful and adaptable skillset, and this is what allowed me to improve from a V27 to V40.

Finally, on August 30, 2021, after working with Harry from early May to mid-August, I saw for the first time that “7” I was looking to achieve all these years – 700 (Q47/V40/IR7/AWA6). After a significant amount of personal sacrifice to get to this point, I can attribute making it my goal to Harry Duthie over at GMAT Ninja.

Target Test Prep (TTP) is the only reason I got a 50 on Quant.

My studies for the GMAT began with Manhattan Prep. Their content was acceptable, covering a majority of the quant content but focussed heavily on short-cut strategies. After exhausting most Manhattan Prep resources, my quant score averaged around 46.

A friend recommended I try TTP, but I was skeptical. No joke, I thought that the price was too low for TTP to be any good. Manhattan prep was incredibly expensive relative to TTP. I was wrong.

Target Test Prep teaches you how to do any problem you could possibly encounter on the GMAT. Better yet, there are no strategies/shortcuts that often waste more time than they save. Instead, you learn how to efficiently solve problems the correct way that works 100% of the time.

I could go on and on about how incredible TTP is. I'll just wrap-up with this though. The guys who run the site are the best part. They responded to every message I sent them within an hour or two. They guided my studies, clarified compicated problems, and were absolute rockstars!

Note: I did all the SC and CR lessons as well. The SC is good, but I didn't have enough time to practice truly learn the topics. CR was already a strong area for me, but the strategies taught for CR were still helpful.

Target Test Prep (TTP) was instrumental in improving my quant score, bringing my score up to a 48 (from a 45) and bringing my total to a 730.
What I found most helpful about the program was how easy it was to navigate through the material, allowing me to target weaknesses and focus on improving components of the overall quant section. Through practice sets/exams completed before using TTP, I already had an idea going into the program what my problem areas were. This is what made TTP so effective for me because it allowed me to strategically select areas to focus my practice and ultimately improve.
Although I came in with this understanding of my own weaknesses, this program is structured in a way that would be beneficial for those coming in "fresh" as well.
I truly cannot recommend this product enough, and have already passed it along to many of my friends as they go through the same preparation journey.
Although I cannot speak to the verbal section of this program, if it is as high quality as the quant is (which I expect it to be), I'm sure it would be a valuable tool as well.

I decided to take the course because of the overwhelming amount of great reviews I have read online, and I can certainly say I was not disappointed! TTP is a great course that unpacks every single topic you will encounter on test day and drills into all the strategies you need to get your target score. I was roughly 40 points away from my target score during my practices before taking the course, but I was not confident of my approach to the problems and of my strategy for solving them. The huge number of practice tests you will encounter throughout the course really gave me a solid understanding of how to tackle each single problem, and I never got surprised during test day. Moreover, the Verbal part was really useful to iron out the doubts I had as a non-native speaker. Couldn't recommend this course more, it got me exactly where I needed to be and I am sure it can do the same for everyone!

I didn't study math in undergrad, and it's been ages since I took a test. I chose Magoosh because I read that it was good for people who are just starting out. They did a really great job at teaching you the basics, and I loved their approach to teaching/learning in general- it's all about getting you to understand the concepts deeply, not just about memorizing how to solve something. However, I think the material is not quite advanced enough to give you a 700+ score. I'm going to retake it and will look into another provider to help get me there.

I have took the GMAT 4 times, twice at home and twice in a test center, I went through the TTP materials twice in total and practiced in their portal for countless hours. I have tried other test providers practice questions, but have only used TTP materials.
While I have seen other materials, TTP is the only provider I have spent material time using as designed. I am a self-studier and need to "figure things out" on my own in order to retain them. This is the perfect match for TTP. Their modules are crafted to show you the concept and its logic, then lead you into discovering how is it presented in GMATland materials, and then to challenge you to think beyond the concept to answer challenging questions. Because of this structure, i encourage you to trust their process. I skipped around initially and over some concepts in total, only to comeback and do the whole program when my score was stuck in 710 and 720. The process works, don't chase speed it will come with concept mastery, complete the modules is practice for your practice.
TTP Verbal, a bit here since it was marker "Beta" when i used it, although by the end all the modules were released. I have to say that there were some YouTube series that I watched that framed the SC concepts of Verbal very well. Then with that framing the TTP Verbal really came to life. I did not ever open the RC and CR modules as I was already testing there at a high level.
TTP Practice Problems: These practice problems are not that similar to the official practice questions, but they are better practice. If that makes sense. You can see the concepts being tested and where the "trick" of the question is just like the GMAT Official questions, but i think the TTP are more clear. GMAT Official questions can be a bit more muddled, so it took some practice learning how GMAT tests different concepts. Other providers i used for practice (Manhattan and Kaplan) questions were far too "tricky". This is hard to explain, but it felt like they were trying to piece together random concepts in order to trick me, where i felt the GMAT would show you the concept and then test your ability to get to an answer logically and quickly.
Only ever use Official GMAT Mock Exams btw, none i have found are even remotely close to accurate representations of the real exam.

I came across eGMAT when I attended some of the free webinars hosted by them on CR and RC. After attending those webinars and taking the free sigma mock, I booked a strategy consultation with their expert. I decided to enroll in the course as I really liked the analysis of my cold mock provided in that call.

Through the analysis, I knew that I had to focus more on Sentence Correction than on the other verbal sections. So, I went through all the concept and practice files for SC and followed the meaning-based approach to solve questions in Scholaranium later. eGMAT’s SC curriculum is very extensive and helped me get a solid grasp of the major topics asked in the exam.

After SC, I moved on to CR and went through their videos in which they mainly taught how to apply the pre-thinking approach to solve questions. Initially, I used to focus only on accuracy and used to take a lot of time in solving questions with this approach. Once I was able to get good accuracy, the timing gradually improved on its own with practice. So I would advise anyone starting with CR to trust in the process and not worry about timing yourself in the beginning.

I did not spend much time going through the concepts of RC or Quant and started using Scholaranium to attempt ability and custom quizzes. The level of analysis provided in Scholaranium is simply great. I was able to use the portal to effectively identify the areas in which I was weak and fine-tune those areas by revisiting concepts or practicing particular types of questions I was frequently getting wrong such as Boldface or Modifiers.

Sigma-x Mocks provided by eGMAT are very good estimators of the actual exam and may be considered more accurate than official mocks. The verbal section is of almost the same difficulty level as the actual exam’s section whereas Quant could be a little bit tougher than the actual exam(Quant of official mocks is a lot easier than the actual exam). Also, the mocks are adaptive and you get an ESR-like analysis of every mock.

Apart from their study material and tests, eGMAT also provided one-to-one mentorship and paired me with Atreya. The mentorship was objectively the best part of the course as he not only provided me with weekly plans but also helped me analyze my mocks properly. He also encouraged me to schedule the exam sooner when I was not confident that I was fully prepared.

The eGMAT portal is also very well made and I did not face any difficulty or encountered any bugs while using the portal. The support on the “Ask an Expert” forums is also very prompt and I always received replies in less than 24 hours

Overall, I would genuinely recommend eGMAT for anyone appearing for the GMAT for their great tests, course material, mentorship, and support.
