The course, verbal from e-gmat, is appropriate for people, who have strong hands at quant, and text heavy things doesn't suits them. The course is quite simplistic and takes care by strengthening the basics of an individual.
I've taken the tutorials regularly, and already run through the course with example, twice. The whole construction of the course evokes interest within a person. Sometimes the verbal also seems logic driven. This basic approach helps in creating a better confidence within a GMAT taker.
Just one thing which I can say to wrap up, it is made for non-native speakers of english.
After taking my diagnostic test i was shocked ot see that verbal had come out as my weak area with v25. With score of q48 in the diagnostic test, i had decided to go for a course which is for verbal alone. on further analysis of verbal i had discovered that in CR and RC section i had >85% accuracy, but the SC section was in dire need of support. Hence after searching everywhere for a SC course, i had found the perefct course on e gmat. After taking up the course in a few days i have seen a direct jump to v31. This is a highly focussed and detailed course. For all those handicapped in SC, this is the course to take.
I chose e-gmat CR course after reading so many impressive words about the course on gmatclub forum. Having read about so many non-native people improving their verbal score from V17 to V41 made me choose e-gmat CR course. Their effective techniques like pre-thinking and argument deconstruction really helped me a lot.
Practice quizzes are also an integral part of this course. They really help you track your progress with time and help you improve your accuracy in a time bound condition.
Finally e-gmat is the course to look out for if you are a non-native GMAT taker and seriously interested in V40+.
4 attempts on my GMAT.. Three 650's and one 690..
I realized that my Achilles' heel was the Verbal section. Despite a high accuracy while practicing for the Verbal section during my past 4 attempts, my test scores always seemed to pull me down.
The main culprit, I realized was RC. Some passages, I did well, the others were 3 wrong answers in a row.
E-GMATs reading strategies and approach to RC on every single question solved is consistent throughout and can be applied to all official passages. There are no Scam shortcuts and Tricks which work on a few passages and have proven to be disastrous on others.
I will be commencing my MBA at SBS- Oxford in Sept-'15.
Having spent this much time and effort into the GMAT, I would say I've developed an obsessive compulsion to BEAT the GMAT, which I am sure I would this time with E-GMATs consistent approach with not just the RC, but CR and SC sections as well.
Hi, after trying many sources I used e-GMAT course and after using it i could actually see the difference. I could get my concepts clear and ready to apply. I recommend e-GMAT quant as well as verbal live prep. Sessions are very interactive and I could go as per my pace in the course. The concepts are explained very nicely and backed up with exercises that helped me to build a strong base and recall the concepts later when required. The step by step progression method in the course has also been beneficial for me as it kept me disciplined.
E-gmat verbal online course was very useful during my GMAT preparations. I improved my overall verbal score by 5 points even after not doing exactly as i planned on test date. The SC part of verbal online is brilliant especially the emphasis on the meaning of the sentence. The questions in exercises were challenging and GMAT-like. The CR course was challenging with some good questions and the approach of pre-thinking and understanding the logical structure of the argument was very helpful to me. I have not tried the quant part but i have heard that its very challenging and good for some 700 level practice. Overall, the course is great value for money and it really gives u a strong foundation and practice for the GMAT verbal section.
Regards,
Abhigyan
e-gmat SC is no doubt one of the best online course. The concepts are in a proper order and question seem to be upto the standards. This helped me in cementing the SC concepts learnt from other popular book. The visual effects created to build up the SC concepts are awesome. Moreover, the exercises at the end of the concepts are more useful. And, it has list of all the questions from topic wise for all questions from VR2 and OG13. The supporting staff is very helpful.
CR course is also very close to real gmat.
Best thing about the course is the answer explanation.
My initial score was too bad 510.
I improved to 650.
I have GMAT lineup next month, I am confident of improved score.
I registered for the e-gmat course in December'14 after completing the GMAT in Dec'14. I was not happy with my score, and decided to sign up. Prior to this, I went with the different course. I see a difference between e-gmat and Others. Personally, I feel that e-gmat is more detailed in teaching both Quant and Verbal. It teaches you the application, not just the rules. I can't comment on Word problems yet, as I just missed the session on word problems. The live sessions are great. Payal does a great job answering questions and going through the content. I am glad I found the course. I'm already seeing an improvement in my verbal accuracy. Thanks to e-gmat! My next GMAT exam is four weeks away, I'll continue to spend time going through their content!
The course is very well structured and makes you think logically even while reading the question.
I am still preparing for the exam, and can already see consuming lesser time in even understanding the question.
Number properties approach is all-together explained in so simple and basic format that it has started to look like a piece of cake.
I took up E-GMAT live prep as suggested by my friend who had opted it before and succeeded to score 720 on GMAT. I registered the course in september 2014. Since then it has been a great help to boost my confidence in GMAT. The live sessions and interaction with the lecturers has been of great aid!!
The section-wise videos provide a deep insight if how to tackle a question and will provide suitable techniques to solve the questions. The lectures, which are conducted by professionals go hand in hand with the section-wise tutorials and give a complete explanation to all the concepts.
I will suggest e-gmat live prep to those who have an zeal to improve their GMAT english scores drastically.
I am an native English speaker, however during my pre, I realised there are some mistakes I was making in the Verbal section in GMAT, which I was unable to understand. I tried many courses online, but none of them really helped me, and my score in verbal was consistently low.
Then, on my friend's suggestion and GMAT Club reviews, I came across e-GMAT,which changed my perspective of VERBAL completely. The way in which it is divided in topics, with test after every topic. And an explanation after each question, made it even more interesting and self-explanatory. And most importantly, it suggested me ways to reach the answer, in the shortest amount of time.
It is a must for all who wish to succeed in the Verbal section of GMAT
