Hi
santorasantu,
Thank you for your question. Indeed, a typical MBA candidate is going to have +/- 5 years of work experience. While a traditional MBA is possible for someone with 13+ years of experience, it's also atypical. A program that you may want to look into is the Sloan Fellow offered by MIT, LBS, and Stanford, although only MIT offers an MBA degree to the Sloan Fellows (LSB offers a Sloan Masters in Leadership and Strategy, and Stanford offers the MSx). The one-year programs may also be of interest, as they typically have an older classroom. Marshall's IBEAR MBA, for example, is a one-year international MBA for mid-career professionals with a class average of 11-12 years of work experience.
I am happy to schedule a call offline and speak about your goals and how we can help you achieve them. If you are interested, please
reach out.
Good luck!

Dear all,
I have a general query on doing my MBA.
I currently have 13+ years of experience and will soon be reaching my 40's. Following all the posts from the other members and researching a bit on the trend, I finally found that I'm kind of over aged to do a so called "normal MBA"
Is this true?
I can negotiate with my boss for an executive MBA but this comes with education contracts, number of years to stay with current company clauses and so on.
Are there any MBA programs with an average age of 40 in the class?
where can I find this info?
If all of this doesn't work then maybe Executive MBA is the final option. Any pointers are greatly appreciated.
Best Regards,
Santora
