Hi,
So I took the GMAT for the first time a few months ago and scored a 690 [44 Quant (54%) & 41 Verbal (94%)] - I wanted to take the test once more just to see if I could breach the 700 barrier. Due to some distractions on test day I bombed the quantitative portion (obviously where I was hoping to improve the most) but ended up pushing my Verbal into 44. My overall score went down to a 670 but I wasn't sure how mixing scores works with admissions.
If I'm allowed to mix my highest scores it looks like it would push me up to the 710, which obviously has the 700+ draw. I know the quantitative portion is weighted more heavily by admissions but clearly verbal is my area of strength. I feel the 44 (98%) verbal could be impressive but don't want to hurt my chances with the even lower quantitative score in the second batch.
Any advice on whether to report the second set of scores?
Thank you!
Hey there,
Well there's no score mixing.
If you took the test and dint cancel you have to report anyhow.
and finally, if you can do better, study a bit more and retake. It can never hurt.
