Hi HqLife,

I'm sorry to hear that Test Day didn't go as well as hoped. Before we get to the data in your ESR, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) Over the last 3 months, how many hours did you typically study each week?
2) What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hello Rich!

1) Weekdays - 2 hours in the morning, 1-1.5 in the evening. Weekends around 4-5 hours.
2) 1 Official GMAT Mock. Took it 2 weeks ago. Q39, V28. Don't think its a real assessment of my ability since I studied in the morning of the mock test day. I was exhausted and guessed on every verbal question. Quant - I was dozing off.
3) August 14th.

4) 730
5) Consortium in January, or R1 next year. Also aiming for European Schools.

Hi HqLife.

It appears that your skills are relatively solid in some areas, but you still have many topics left to cover, and also, you aren't accustomed to handling the experience of the GMAT itself.

In fact, your ESR indicates that you rushed through both the first half of the quant section, spending around 1:40/2:00 per question, and the first half of the verbal section, spending around 1:32/1:48 per question. So, even by simply taking more time per question, you could likely score significantly higher than you did on your recent GMAT.

So, it appears that your move is to complete your study of verbal, do more practice questions, and take several more practice tests.

For some practice tips that could help you achieve your score goal, see this post.
