UtkarshAnand, Your profile is very good, but I think your chances of working for one of the big consulting firms would depend a lot on which country you wanted to work in, as certain locations are more popular than others.
Andy thanks for the preliminary feedback. Could you be more specific in terms of chances I have for my target programs? Also, for consulting which locations are easier to get in for MBB (does UAE feature in one of them)?

Profile is solid and would be strengthened with a higher GMAT score. The research and patents are interesting as are the mentorship experiences. (If they are ongoing, they could be very strong part of your application). Your school list looks fine. You could probably add a few on both the dream and target lists (USC, Duke, Cornell?)

Well I’m kind of wondering why you need an MBA to be a sports analyst...

Your success will likely come down to how you talk about your entrepreneurial experience. Many schools like that and it would make you unusual. The schools you are targeting could be good options for you.

Thank you so much for your insightful response,I have a small query though

Finance being my area of interest and my major in undergraduate I see myself as a finance analyst/manager at a top institution

Operations being my another area of interest and my background of coming from a business family with a top line mineral processing and manufacturing unit (proceeds of which is all exported) I see myself contributing to my Father’s business along with expanding my dessert brand (of which 5 outlets are currently operating and the latest development is an outlet established inside JW Marriott,Mumbai provided the uniqueness of the product)

Do you think I should consider taking the GMAT once more or this is good enough for the schools I have mentioned?
Also which school do you think is the best of the 4?

It’s always a good idea to retake the GMAT if you think you can improve by at least 20 or 30 points. A better score always increases your chances. I think you should consider the schools based in the courses they offer and how well they "fit" with your personality and learning style rather than who is "best"

I think to decide which schools to target, it would be good to think about where you want to be when you graduate. If you want to be in Europe, it would be better to study at a European campus, etc. This is not a solid rule, but its a good idea to be closer to the companies you want to work for after graduation.

Andyfff Most the analysts at senior levels are MBAs from HBS in Cricket Team. I didn’t see any specific route to the sports analyst at National Teams other than MBAs in analytics.

I can consider taking the GMAT once more but I’m currently in the process of CFA Level 2 and my dessert brand also consumes a major chunk of my time which is kind of pulling me back from allocating time towards GMAT preparation. If I clear CFA level 2, will that compensate towards the GMAT score?

Once again, its important to think about where you want to be post-graduation. This is something you will be asked about, so the school you apply to should be based on where you want to study.
