Hi, I took gmat yesterday and got 690 (31V 50Q). I am going to retake it in 3 weeks, what should I do to improve my verbal part? According to ESR my weakest part is RC (CR 65th ranking, RC 47th and SC 66th). I have taken magoosh 3 month study plan verbal focus but still can't reach 700+. Will appreciate any help.

1. are you making consistently the same mistakes
2. are you familiar with the basic patterns
3. how many Official guide questions are you able to explain to yourself using the strategies you have learned
4. are you practicing using non official questions and that too of poor quality
5. is it a lack of awareness of question type/strategy issue or poor timing issue
6. are you able to make a mental map and get the gist of the RC passage
7. how thoroughly have you revised OG questions

1) I get confused by language in answers too often
2) Yes
3) Almost all
4) for practice I have used OG, Magoosh questions, Manhattan and Kaplan800
5) I don't have problems with timing, maybe I should spend even more time
6) yes
7) I have tried my best)

If you have tried doing everything in RC but still can't seem to improve, it might not be a bad idea to focus on areas that you consider your strengths: CR and SC. From your ESR, it is clear that there is a lot of scope for improvement in these areas.

3 weeks though, might be insufficient time to make any drastic difference.
