Congrats!! Does this mean Consortium fellowship decisions have already been decided and announced for Darden? I JUST got the email saying I've been accepted (FIRST ONE, WOOOO!), but was holding out hope that there might be money on the table. Should I give up on that thought?

I believe all schools made their decision on who will be a named fellow on draft day. However their notifications have been scattered. So I guess there's always a reason to remain hopeful!

Update (because I clearly don't read very carefully): On the bottom of my Darden Admissions letter was a link all the way at the bottom that read: "The following letters are available for this account: Scholarship process update" --> They named me a Consortium Fellow with full tuition and fees, and also a Forte Fellow!!!!!!

I'm out of breath and in disbelief - such a game-changer!

Anyone have any insight on the Forte Fellowship? Is this additional money on top of the Consortium, or a title w/o funds (which is also GREAT, just trying to get the full picture).

WOOOOOO

Congrats! Any woman who received a merit scholarship at Darden are designated as Forte fellows. I don't think you receive additional scholarship money but you get access to the Forte network.

Still waiting to hear back on my end! Have any other R1 applicants heard back from the fellowship who were accepted into a school but still had a higher ranked school waitlist you?

Wondering how that impacts the draft...

Does anyone know if schools give out additional stipends on top of Consortium fellowship? Someone on clear admit said they got the fellowship plus a 20k yearly stipend. Haven't heard that before.

Hate to be a downer but how you rank your schools seems to have a definite impact on fellowship consideration. For example I believe Atticus got offered his fellowship by his #3 and I by my number 2. I haven't seen anyone else say they received a fellowship from lower ranked schools (can't say it doesn't happen) but it just means they have to decide on applicants who ranked them higher before they got to you and there is probably a finite amount of fellowships they give. Were your lower ranked schools popular schools that get a lot of apps or less popular?

Last year, I heard of UNC KF offering Consortium fellowships + a yearly stipend. Not sure if they're doing it again this year / if that's the school you saw the person post about from Clear Admit. I could see a lower ranked school doing this to compete, but I don't think the higher ranked ones would do this at all.

For those who interviewed with Stern during Perspectives Day, has anyone received a decision yet?

I received the Fellowship from Goizueta (ranked #1). Waiting to hear back from Ross today (#2). Was also accepted to Olin (#5) and am waiting for the admission package to see if they will be offering anything.

I also applied to Berk (#4) but given my out of range GMAT score and the lack of communication, I am assuming that is a ding.

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted, received fellowship, and those who have more material with which to apply next year.

For the people who applied through The Consortium last year (for 2016 intake) but were denied and then applied for 2017 intake and have been accepted, what did you do to enhance your application?

I think the only people who have gotten decisions were the ones who ranked them 1 or 2 and received the fellowship.

I'm not a reapplicant but I started the process last June and had decent success during my cycle. I ended up interviewing at 5 T25 schools and received acceptances from 2 and 2 dings from my targets I also got dinged without interview at my two reaches and still waiting on GT. I think what helped me during my cycle was approaching my applications logically. I purchased the US News and World Report subscription and I looked at each target school GPA range and test score range. I made sure my grades and score fell in every range of my target schools. After narrowing my focus I wrote multiple drafts for my essay and looking back at things I had the best success when I wrote from the heart and my passion for wanting to attend that school came out. Hopefully others can chime in on their experiences to help give insights to those applying and re-applying next year. Congrats to all who got acceptances, and those who will keep on pursuiting their dreams and goals even after a minor road bump.

Yeah this was at Tuck which is why I was extra surprised. I hadn't really heard of any top 10 giving out full scholarships+stipends.

It's not all that uncommon for top programs to offer stipends. Especially, if the candidate is moving their family to attend the program.
