Guys, I wanted to ask if you would choose Yale SoM or NYU Stern if you had no scholarships at either?
My immediate goal after the MBA is to work in consulting (how else am I going to pay the 200k in loans) with a long term goal of working in the social impact/entrepreneurship space?
Thanks!
Congratulations on your acceptances. If your ultimate goal is social impact I'd go with Yale. That's their "niche" after all. Rankings have been trending In the right direction and Yale is well respected, they also place more into consulting (granted that Stern is more finance focused, they still place well though) - those are My 2 cents. Even in my own case, deciding between Stern, Darden, and Johnson, I've come to realize that the program you choose will not make or break your career so go with your gut and where you think you'll be the most happy. As with any program, it will come down to what you make of it, and if you're generally happy where you are, you'll make more lasting relationships, absorb the material better, and have a better transition back to the workplace, i.e. Most ROI. Good luck!
