If I were waitlisted from my #1 ranked school but was admitted in a lower ranked one, would the consortium consider the lower ranked one for a fellowship? I'm not sure if I should decline the waitlist for example. Anyone has a take on this?

I was offered a fellowship to my second ranked school after being waitlisted at my first. You can still accept the waitlist for your first, but you wouldn't be getting any money from the consortium and unlikely you'll get much from the program if you were waitlisted.

How is the Consortium network outside of your own school? I'm wondering how receptive in general are Consortium members (current students and alumni) to each other if they are in different schools? I'm certain its not as strong as if you went to the same school but wondering if Consortium gives you this expansive network across the country

Well, looks like they're replacing it with a virtual OP. So much for getting an internship before fall semester :/

Silvering lining could be a more structured virtual recruiting opportunity. Instead of doing the career fair circuit perhaps you can schedule time to speak with potential employers.

You never know what they might come up with.

Curious what everyone thinks of pursuing an MBA right now given current events? I'm worried the timing might not be right and my recruiting/ job search would be compromised? Is this dramatic?

If your career follows a traditional recruiting path, then should be fine. If not, it gets complicated. An MBA is considered a way to "ride out" a recession/economic downturn. I'm sure Class of 2023 apps will skyrocket. Since Consortium notification is tomorrow, do you think there will be a wave of all consortium schools notifying applicants today? Does anyone know when Haas will release decisions?

Long-time lurker - first time responder haha. Also curious about Haas. Is it the only Consortium school to have not released decisions yet? I'm assuming those who ranked Haas first or who Haas offered a fellowship would find out by tomorrow, right (and not March 26)?

Haas is making calls now and tomorrow for Consortium applicants. Next week for regular applicants.

Thanks for the update! Did you get a call today? If so, congrats on the admit!

Just got acceptance into Georgetown. It was my lowest ranked school and there were no mentions of scholarships or aid. Does that mean a higher ranked school offered me the fellowship or will that be from the Consortium directly?

Did recent US News rankings change anyone's thoughts on how they should have ranked their schools or where they should be attending.
