No I don’t think so did not see any specific merit based scholarships with essays on the portal. However, people who are to be awarded merit based scholarship will be given by 30th May only as well along with others. That is just my assessment of the situation.

All things being equal earlier is better *but things never are* - if you need an internship apply Jan intake. Also, just take the time to develop a competitive application vs submitting something half-baked. Application quality is a greater driver of the outcome than timing.

arahim - it's better to submit a stronger application than rushing it up in an earlier round. You could also consider applying early (R1) to the Aug intake.
