I wonder which is more frustrating...waiting for Interview invite or final results. Fingers crossed for everyone who has interviewed.
For a school like Booth the interview is a shorter wait. But to be honest the interview is definitely a validation.
I’d get heartbroken if I was rejected without one. This way at least I can say I was qualified to get into the class but probably just a bad interview or so. Not sure if that makes sense.
But that said, one more month seems excruciating.

Not to burst your bubble, but it isn't really like that at Booth. It isn't like "passed the application stage", "passed the interview stage". They review everything again after the interview. So the people that review your app the second time round could have completely different thoughts than the person that initially scanned it. I feel that the criteria that they use to filter for interviews might be much more basic than what they base their final decision on. Not that this has any bearing on your chances in particular, just how I believe it is done according to conversations with interviewers etc.
@bgbeidas that’s true for all schools. But the point remains - if I was rejected without an interview that would mean I didn’t get through the initial ‘basic’ screening as well. Considering how many rejections I got without interviews last year, it is still a VERY big deal to me.
Hi there! Apologies if this question has already been asked earlier in this message thread, but does anyone know if Booth calls all admitted students? If so, from last year's forum, it looks like calls were made the day before decisions were released online. Is this always the case?
Thanks in advance for your responses, and good luck to everyone!

Yup I believe it’s true that all admitted candidates receive a call a day before. R1 applicants can thus expect good news on Dec 6. However the portal is updated only on the decision day (Dec 7 for R1).

Do most schools email or follow up otherwise? I will be out of the country during R1 decision release dates for most schools, and will not have access to my phone.
I am curious about scholarships at Booth. Are there any statistics showing historically how much admitted students received? It will be even more interesting to match it to the profiles of the recipients. Pleas do post a link on the scholarships/aid if you have it .
Every passing day I feel like I won’t get in. Being a pessimist is annoying at times.

I think I change my mind every 5 minutes or so between "I definitely got in" to "I should probably start working on some R2 apps...". Next Wednesday can't possibly come soon enough.
You just spoke my mind...I could swear I have had dreams of me receiving an admission call on the 6th as well as receiving a ding on 7th. I try to be optimistic but I just can’t keep thoughts of a ding(or even worse a waitlist offer) off my mind. Sometimes I wish I could just fastforward to Wednesday...good luck everyone!
Actually, does anyone know if they will consider the timezone? Not that US west coast is too far away, but I would really prefer not to get up and start the wait at 6 am

I would assume that they consider the applicant's region when determining the call time.
