Yes, you should. I was assigned one within 24 hours of filling the form. Also, the email mentioned 2 business days as the school's max response time

I think that you might have misread his question. Are you saying that you will get an interview confirmation email within two days?

I got a confirmation email and it specifically says:Interviewer: You will find out the name of your interviewer when you arrive. All interviews, regardless of the interviewer or location, are viewed the same.. So I don't think you are missing an email and I don't think it will be good for you to email them.

I am a reapplicant and I am scheduling an off-campus interview. Last year, when I filled the form, I got a reply within 1-2 days with the information of my interviewer and I contacted him on email.

Thanks. I guess I'll be contacting the admissions office. Btw, where exactly it was mentioned that interviewer will be assigned within 2 days? I did not get the interview email as I directly checked the portal first.

I remember reading it on the portal, soon after submitting my details to request an off campus interview

They gave me the interviewer's name and contact info and asked me to contact him ..

Just got an email from the school that they are in process of assigning the interviewer. Love this kind of proactiveness from Booth.
Thanks anyways for your help and suggestions :)

Re: Calling all Booth 2018 Applicants (Class of 2020) [#permalink]
So I got my interviewer assigned just now. I am a reapplicant and incidentally, it's the same interviewer I had last time. I feel that my interview went well that time.

How do you think it affects the chances, positively or negatively, to interview again with the same guy? The pro is that I know that guy and we shared good rapport in general, but the con is that the whole interview might revolve around stuff I have done in last 6-8 months, and the impact or new perspectives might be limited.

Any suggestions?

Same here - I happened to have my Google Search tab still open from 15 minutes before I got the email and just went with it. Going the culture fit route.

Where can we find the schedule of activities for interview (on-campus) day? The email confirmation only mentions the interview time.

On campus or off campus?

On campus interview window starts 10/23, I imagine there will be more feedback on here next week!

So had my off-campus interview on Saturday - without worrying anyone it was one of the toughest interviews of my life!

The guy was pretty relentless in his questioning, all to catch me off-guard, get under the surface, and find out what really makes me tick. Overall I think it went quite well but mostly because I knew what I was talking about and wasn't making anything up. They might not all be the same but if you're not 100% sure on why Booth, why an MBA and why now you'd want to do your homework before stepping in for the interview!

For another data point, I chose a word document with a couple of pictures for the primary application, and also chose option 3 for the additional essay. I am a serial googler of things so I felt it gave me the most direct route to showcase my personality of the 3 options. And I felt directness was key with a 250-word limit.

For the folks flying in for an interview, I would recommend staying somewhere between mag mile/gold coast and McCormick Place (if there is no convention in town during your interview, the rates would probably be reasonable for a decent hotel). The uber/lyft/taxi commute from downtown is much easier and less traffic prone than from either airport, and you would have more food/activity around you than if you stayed near campus.

Best of luck to everyone on their interviews!

Just had my offcampus interview with alumni. She was nice and not at all like described by endlesscroc. I guess it depends on who you get paired with.

The interview was at Starbucks so I was a little uncomfortable talking about my life with 3 other ppl listening. It lasted 60 mins. I was a little scratchy in the begining but it became conversational towards the end.

She said the most imp question she asked me was how do u react when you are stretched. This is because 1st year you will get stretched between academics and ECs.

Goodluck everyone!
