guys, how are you coming with the word counts ? I have 950 for professional and 800 for personal. Should I reduce ?

690 for professional, 998 for personal.
Word count is one thing, but flow and cohesion is another. A 1000-word essay can read very quickly if its written well and the story flows quickly, just as much as a 400-word essay can be a chore to read if there's no real narrative behind it.

I emailed AdCom about this question and got this response: "Thank you for your email. We will allow a one week grace period from the application date to submit their letter."

I explained why I didn't choose my current supervisor and gave them reasons for choosing my recommenders - why they're better equipped to share insights about my professional development.
