I am more than happy to clarify any query if you might have.

Hi kinjiGC,

Wondering why I haven't received email from Tepper yet. My status on the application site is updated to accepted, but no emails.

Also, I am curious about when the BaseCamp stuff starts. Trying to find dates for that but couldn't find anything. I know it is like 3 weeks or so before the semester starts, so I imagine it would be early August.

I am not sure why you don't have a mail yet but mails are normally sent along with the decisions.

To clarify your next doubt, Basecamp will start 1st week of August and if you are in US, do attend, welcome weekend and you will get more information about it.
Welcome weekend is a fun way to know about everything about Tepper in 2 days, so do attend.

Congrats for your admit at Tepper.

I am not clear what do you mean by Top Recruiter. Normally, the core companies in various functions will have the similar pattern of recruiting with a little variation.

Do you have any specific question about a particular company or function?

I wanted to understand how many students do each of the companies hire and for what job functions . For example, Apple is listed as one of the recruiters .But,I am not clear how many they hired from Tepper . Is this information available online?

I am not sure whether this information online. But I guess from class of 2016, there is 1-2 of my seniors who went to Apple and one of my classmate interned at Apple.

Congrats to everyone who got admitted and best of luck to all!

I am applying for the round2 and while going through the application i didnt find any section for extra curricular.
Any advice on how to add this information.

They allow a 1-2 page resume so would it be advisable to put the co-curricular and community work there in slight detail.

Yes Aarti,

Your application will be considered complete once you have everything submitted on or before 2nd Jan.

It is better if you ask your recommender to submit the LOR early to avoid any system crash issues at last moment.

My recommender is also going to submit LOR on 30th.

Good luck to all who are submitting/have submitted their apps in R2.

I had some time on this weekend so did a quick analysis of R1 admission trend in this year. Here are major observations...

  • Acceptance rate of R1 applicants is 21.17%;
  • 8.76% of applicants have been waitlisted.
  • As expected, avg GMAT of admits is higher than that of overall application pool, though there is no significant difference in GPA and WE.
  • An applicant to get in to Tepper with lowest GMAT score (650) was from Peru with Engineering as undergraduate major and working in transportation industry.
  • Out of 24 admits who reported their GMAT scores on forum, 6 admits had their GMAT scores less than 700.
