Hi, just got my acceptance to the Degroote program with 2k Scholarship. App details:
720 GMAT, 3.2 GPA, 2 ish years work experience in Customer Service, domestic applicant. They seem to have changed things, the video interview comes first then there's a really short in person interview, like 20 -25 minutes. No "walk me through your resume," just 5 quick behavioural questions and I was out of there like that. I think the interview itself didn't make a lot of difference in the acceptance, it was more just the rest of the application, particularly the GMAT score that wowed them.
The question now is, do I still pursue the Wilfrid Laurier application. Those were the only 2 schools that I applied to, and I'm having a hard time seeing what Wilfrid Laurier offers that DeGroote doesn't. Apparently you get access to their career centre for life, but ideally you should be able to find jobs for yourself once you've built up your network. Not to mention that Wilfrid Laurier is a blip on the radar for most world wide rankings, whereas McMaster still comes in the top 10 for Canada. I think I'll sit the interview for Laurier but go with Degroote.
