I was waitlisted in R1 and it's been 5 months now. I have finally got a reject. I have been sending Regular updates every month and continuously engaging with the student community for last 5 months. I wish I hadn't spent that much time and focussed on some other school. I think Fuqua should change their policy of waitlisting a huge number of applicants and then ask all of them to keep the school updated.

Sorry to hear. I applied in R1 as well and am still on the WL, although I have also been giving regular updates. Most likely going to KF, but would like to know if Fuqua is a possibility.
Hey everyone, if you're looking for guidance on what the Fuqua MBA experience is like, or how MBA students at chose Fuqua, I did a few interviews with some current students to find out. Sharing in case it's helpful.
Seems like a handful of admits (mainly from waitlist) and a large number of people added to the waitlist in R3. With the deposit deadline coming up later this week, wonder if that will give them more clarity on number of spots that still need to be filled.

I wonder if we'll hear anything after the May 5 R3 deposit deadline or if it's truly rolling admissions at this point. I'm a R2 waitlisted applicant.
im curious for waitlisted people is saying there's an acceptance in hand and you still want to attend a good thing or not vs the same applicant who has no acceptance in hand ?
I would say good thing but to be frank-Adcom not really going to be influenced by that one way or the other. Unless for example that admit was HBS. Fuqua is 4th most difficult school to get admit to (based off of applicant acceptance %). Letting them know you have an offer doesn’t mean much-if you’re WL to Fuqua it’s a pretty safe assumption that you have an admit to another top 20 school and they already know this. I think reaching out with obvious statements may do more harm than good in this current environment. But that’s just me.
^^ for example- I know a dude waiving a full ride to Ross to Adcom for last two months and it’s not moving the needle all. I also know a girl waiving an admit to Dardrrn and Johnson that’s still on the WL.
