Creed2232
I had a one-on-one session with the admissions committee to address some queries. Being my first individual interaction, I was a bit anxious. Despite my efforts to be organized and prepared, I found myself fumbling with my sentences, even though I am usually a fluent speaker. As a waitlist applicant from Round 1, I’m concerned if this may have left a negative impression or if the committee might make a note of it when evaluating my application later on. I’m feeling stressed about it.
Creed2232 Congratulations on taking this step in the right direction as a waitlist applicant. Most applicants underestimate the importance of this during the waitlist process. On the contrary, the admissions committee would truly welcome your reaching out and demonstrating continued interest in the school. Adcoms perfectly understand that the candidate may be nervous because they want to make a good first impression. Do not be concerned. This conversation will, all things considered, only show your sincere efforts.
On another note, just to set the right precedent for everyone reading or overthinking, I want to add that it's okay to fumble or not have a perfect speech or not be 100% fluent and correct in English when you are applying to/interviewing for B-schools. All that matters is what you have achieved professionally, your maturity and your authenticity.
Best wishes
