Thanks a lot Waiting is surely very difficult. I myself am waiting, however the cause is different. Still waiting for the interview call, which you have already given I dnt have any idea about the number of applicants thing yaar and dnt know how can anybody else also have They might be predicting this based on the applicant number, but about that also we cannot be sure if it is the number of applicants or something else.

I posted that on pagalguy. Number of log-ins has decreased to 8500 as compared to 12000 last year. Not sure about number of applicants.

Number of logins into what ? application portal ? Obviously you mean to say that a person can have more than 1 login ? How would u get such data ?

By no means, there can be 8500 applicants in R1. This might be the total log ins till date (totally amazed how u got hand at this data) but still 12000 last year would be till end of R2. And this time around, R2 is still 45 days away. So in my opinion, nothing can be concluded regarding the number of applicants from this data

Yup.. that is total number of logins before R1 deadline and not applicants. For last year that was 12000 and for R2 it was 2500. For 2011 it was R1-12500 and R2-2500 this year number of logins before R1 deadline is only 8500 and till 6th (my date of interview) number of R2 logins was 5. Though exact number of applicants can't be predicted from this but it can be assumed that number of applicants are less.

No.. I am not saying a person can have more than 1 login but some people who are loging in are not applying. Number of applicant can't be this many.

Got an interview call on 19th Oct at Hyd. Really tensed. Got one interview mail and another reject mail from another university. Feeling very low! And 19th is too close. The portal said 5-7 days before. I got it just 3 days before the interview. Too much logistical problems. Wish me luck guys. If not this year, I don't stand a chance next year and I am damn sure of that.

All the best ... If you are facing too much of a problem, you can probably as them for rescheduling citing this fact that you got a call just 3 days in advance. They might accept your case. Regards, Ankur

No, just booked tickets now. I think it is ok. I have to manage. Other cities are actually too far and considering the festive season tickets are so costly too.
