HELP!!

A very weird ( but happy) thing happened with me. I was just checking my ISB application page out of curiosity of documents submitted and noticed that I have been shortlisted for interview on 21st Nov at 4:15 P.M. The weird thing is that it requires me to confirm for the interview by clicking on a link sent to me on email BUT I have not received any mail yet. I have checked in and out of the mail id but nothing. Although I am going to call them up first thing tomorrow morning ( about 12 hours from now) but still any other thing I should be doing??

Also guys do keep checking your application link just in case it happens to you too..

Just read this. The first thing to do would be to start preparing :D

Hi,

I have applied for ISB class of 2017 in Round 1.

I am re-applicant.

Hi All,

I am a re-applicant. In the process of preparing my application for R2.

I gave my GMAT again yesterday and scored 710.

Other details about me:
1. Work Exp - 6 yrs
2. Current Role - Business Architect
3. Industry - Manufacturing
4. B.E - 82%; 12th - 96%; 10th - 82%
5. International Experience - 24months

The last time my application was rejected (2012) the reasons given to me were
1. Low GMAT Score - 660 was my score previously
2. Not enough experience - 2.5 years was my experience when i applied last time.
3. Essays are not strong enough.

I need help with my essays now. Could someone please provide some guidance on how to approach the essays? I was able to find some material online, but they are damn generic.
Also is it wise to ask for help from a app help company for the essay preparation?

I had my interview on 7th hyd ..I was quite busy on business travel and could not get to post this sooner. But first I want to congratulate all those who got interview invites and wish good luck to those still waiting for them!

I benefited a lot from this forum (especially during my gmat preparation) and want to take this opportunity to thank you all for contributing to collectively running this forum.

I am a re-applicant .. Indian IT male..GMAT 710

4.5+ years in Healthcare+Consulting+IT . I felt my interview went well. it started with my introduction and then went into my work. I was questioned a bit here. Then it went into why isb and why mba and why this goal ..the usual questions you expect.It may have taken 25mins..dont remember the time.

I think the most important thing is to spend time on what you are and where you want to go..once this is clear..after that it is just a matter of putting words to your thoughts.

Hyderabad interviews usually happen over the weekends and go on till the weekend before the result date.
So you can expect an invite anytime before 13th Dec.

I had my interview- They asked me absolutely no question I could prepare for (no why mba/why isb stuff). Mostly around what product you like, how would you improve some of them, how would you market with min budget and stuff like that. It lasted in total (including the initial intro's and my questions about 18 mins). I was pretty positive about the interview but the more I ponder over the questions I feel it could have been much better.

My question is how important is the interview overall, can I have a relatively average interview and still make it if the rest of the profile is fine.

I work with an American MNC in Europe (2 years now), part of a finance leadership development rotational program. Have had previous experience of starting a non-profit and also working with a startup to build and launch a new product. More recently worked with a friend (2 member team) to launch a on-demand Laundry app in Dublin (part time along with my current job).

Have a B.Tech (India) Masters in International Business (ESC Grenoble France).

Decent extra-curriculars and a 720 GMAT.

I just feel my interview could have been better. But that is feeling after I have given those questions thought for over 2 days and I am comparing this with instantaneous answers.

I was really hoping for ISB's interview invite . I have not received any call yet. Does anyone knows till when can we expect Delhi Location calls?

It's not over yet for Delhi candidates! Couple of our candidates from Delhi, have received an interview invite today.

They have been asked to come to Hyderabad for interview.
