Hi Everyone. I needed some help. I am on the ISB waitlist currently. Somewhere between losing my loved ones during covid, preparing extra hard for MBA applications, and losing out in job, I feel like I have lost the battle mentally. Now I feel like I don’t have the energy left within me to attend ISB (in case I do get a call from waitlist). So I decided to push my MBA plans for the future. How do I tell ISB to remove my name from the waitlist, but still consider my canditadature in good faith in the future? (Not asking for a deferral or anything here)
Dear warmonger,
I’m sorry for what you are going through.
I am not an expert, but I would give you my thoughts. I would suggest to let time run its course. If in case you don’t get an admit you have your will granted, and if you do get one, you will have some time to think over. MBA application journey can be excruciating and in this last lap I would say buy some time. So, maybe, dont get out of contention just yet.
Hope you feel better

Warm Regards

Hey, hope things get better for you! Many of us are in a similar position. You could wait for an admit and then explain your decision, they might consider to give a deferred admission.
But I agree with this, if required
