Post MBA goals- Consulting with MBB, willing to also move into technology consulting
@sharathskal - some thoughts:
1. While the GPA is low, the GMAT can help compensate. Having said that, a higher score can definitely strengthen this.
2. The TCS brand and promotions are good angles. Would like to understand the key projects/ achievements, skillsets gained, any international exposure (?) etc to assess your professional arc better.
3. The post-MBA goal needs strengthening. Some thoughts to ponder on: (A) why consulting? (B) which domain within consulting and why: there are MBB's (and digital arms within these), big-4's (most of these have a digital strategy arm), boutiques (domain or tech focused), mid-sized (Kearney, Oliver Wyman, etc.) (C) what transferable skills do you bring to the table and (D) what's plan-B? Narrowing these down would require deeper discussions.
3. EC's present interesting angles to showcase personal/ professional growth. The leadership angle will need more fleshing out, both from your work-ex and ECs - this is crucial. For guidelines and best practices for ISB's latest essays, check out
