Hey everyone, I am almost done with my application form. However, I can't decide whether to include the "additional information" (not optional essay) document. I mean, I want to write about my awards and achievements, and my volunteering experiences as there wasn't a specific section in the form for that. Would that make sense? Could I include the info in bullets?
It's deadline day and I can see that there are just 60 applicants in the decision tracker compared to 171 in last year's Round 1. Could it be because the deadline has been moved 2 weeks ahead compared to last year's?

The 171 applicants in R1 for the class of 2022 have been aggregated over time. I guess, if we observe the number of class'22 R1 applicants on the deadline in Sep 2019, you would find a number closer to the number of class'23 R1 applicants as it is today. Many applicants update their decision tracker throughout the year.
Submitted my application and hopefully got a good enough recommendation from my supervisor ?
All the best to fellow R1 applicants.
Any idea when the invites will be sent out this year?

The R1 deadline for last year was Sep 30 and from the last year's decision tracker, I see that the interview invites were sent in the 3rd week of October and the interviews happened in the 2nd and 3rd weeks of November.
So, if they take a similar amount of time, we can expect the interview invites in the first half of October.
If all of those remaining admits(most likely international students) deferred, then it will be ~60 less seats this year. And even if the international student proportion increases to around 40%, that's barely a 100 seats available for international applicants this year.
Just my thoughts, and hope that there is a better explanation to the numbers posted on website.

That's worrying, so applying in R1 might be the right thing. There may not be any seats left by R3 in 2021. Also waiting list will hardly move this year, if waitlisted we can assume it's a delayed rejection.

That is spot on! One more thing we might have to factor in is work experience of the candidate. If a lot of IT engineers for example have deferred, would that mean that the number of IT engineers selected in this cohort would be extremely low? Or even geography wise. If they have an extremely high proportion of Indians deferring, would they be focussing more on candidates from other nationalities?

R3 is definitely going to be non-existent this year. There's a lot of speculation between R1 and R2, and its best to say that everything is uncertain at the moment. So, just submit whenever everything is ready.
I am eagerly waiting for Ross invite decision mainly because I am submitting 2 more applications in October before which an invite would be a validation of the quality of my Resume, LOR This is my first ever application to an international school

Hope Ross application goes well. What schools are you applying to in October?

Sounds good. FYI, we will have a networking session with a current student from Stern next week. Please watch out for details in the following topic. Also, it is vary easy to get an application fee wiaver from Fuqua if you attend one of their sessions.
I assume everyone else got this email, but if you haven't checked yet: We plan to email all Round 1 interview invitations on October 5, 2020. [...] If you are not invited to interview on October 5th, the Admissions team will do an additional review of your application before the decision notification deadline. On December 4th, you will receive either a waitlist or deny decision.
