This is a school that emphasizes a lot on score and culture.....100 words essays and no platform to highlight your ECs kinda attest to that

so please drop few student names and adcom’s with whom you had interacted in your interviews/ essays....

I feel its better to be crisp and clear about the motive in the essay...
If its about the challenge that you faced..be concise
If its about achievement that you are proud of - emphasise more on that aspect
If its about career goal...give importance to that with ross as a backdrop.

Feedcack from current student who applied twice , he didn’t use names but dropping names doesn’t really harm and shows that you did research. As someone righty said in one of the comments above, school is more bullish on stats and your fit.

Speaking to a few students at Ross while preparing my app, I gathered that Ross values culture and fit a great deal ("go blue" and all). With the app absent of any depth in terms of EC's/interests/hobbies apart from those in the resume, I agree with all of you that stats and achievements is likely whats get an interview (showing you can handle the course load) - but I would then assume that the interview is the place where they test for cultural fit.

Nope you cannot. But the short-term goal essay is a great place to do it......I mentioned how speaking to Ross students I understood my x,y,z experiences would help me in transitioning to my desired role. Also, there is a separate field in the application portal to mention your engagement with the community. Believe me, they LOOK/ EXPECT engagement with their community from prospective students

This is the trend i have seen in the gmat forum and the interview debrief...
From october 22nd most of the round 1 interviews are started ..and so we can expect this week and the next week to be very very imp.

"Ross Admissions interviews are by invitation only, and to ensure your safety and the safety of those in our community, will be conducted virtually this year by Ross alumni.

We plan to email all Round 1 interview invitations during the week of October 18, 2021. The email will include instructions on how to access our interview scheduling system."

- As per several previous posts and an email received from admissions by most candidates including myself. So invites should be next week onwards, and in case you have some other concrete source of information, please do share.
